During the Shanghai Design Week (10-17 October 2014) the Tongji University will host the TONGJI DESIGN WEEK including several inititiatives about cooperation with international design universities and companies.
The College of Design and Innovation with the Sino Italian Campus and the Design System of the Politecnico di Milano will host the SINO ITALIAN DESIGN DAY@TONGJI on Saturday, October 11th:
to reinforce a network among the POLITONG community, the EMDM and companies;
to exhibit the results of both the programme;
to strenghten the Sino-Italian design approach so to be competitive on the Sino-Italian market;
to exhibit both the soft and hard sides of design!
Tongji University and Politecnico di Milano have been running a fruitful cooperation for years including two main programs:
POLITONG is the double master degree program in Product Service System Design between the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano and the College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University started in 2007. More than 80 students from both the universities have been graduated and some of them are still working in their hosting country. (
EMDM (Design Management for innovative environments) is a master aimed at professional graduates who intend to specialize in interior design with a particular attention to the Made in Italy products, materials, finishing and accessorizes for the interiors. It is a collaboration between POLI.Design, MIP- School of management at the Politecnico di Milano and the Sino Italian Campus, now at the 4th edition with more than 100 students coming form the professional Chinese world.

The SINO ITALIAN DESIGN DAY @TONGJI will host an interesting EXHIBITION including the 3 steps of design academic path:
Ongoing: 10 Italian POLITONG students 2013/14 will exhibit their best works
Graduated in 2014: 15 sino-italian POLITONG students will present their final thesis work
Professionals 25 young professionals belonging to the 2nd edition of EMDM will exhibit their best projects
Venue: D&I college, 2nd floor (10-17/10/2014).

Hello! I'm Sara. I studied product design in my bachelor and I continued my study with the master of science in Product service system design. There I got the opportunity to go to Shanghai for the double degree, where I am now! Photography is one of my biggest passion, I did the reporter for the design week in Milan and now I'm doing the food photographer for Wagas, a chain of restaurant in Shanghai.
